Yes, there really is something magical that takes place when a women steps into her favorite pair of chic shoes. It’s as if a dazzling pair of shoes has the ability to add an extra sparkle of self-confidence in women, which is usually first, noticed in her stride.

Kristie Hartsfield

President & CEO

As a child, Kristie loved to play dress up in her Aunt’s closet. “My Aunt owned heels in every color, style, and height imaginable. Her shoe closet was my favorite shoe store, “ Kristie states. As a child, Kristie would put on fashion shows at her grandmother’s (Nana) house sashaying in her Aunt’s Stiletto’s. “My Aunt fostered my zeal for shoes, because I wanted a Stiletto collection and power walk like hers when I grew up.” Kristie recalls her Aunt having a power walk that meekly exuded self-confidence.

After graduating from Florida A&M University in Tallahassee, Florida with a Master’s Degree in Education, Kristie packed her shoes and relocated to the Orlando area in order to pursue her passion for service by becoming an Educator. Kristie has severed the Orlando area as a Teacher for the past 15 years. Proud member of (service organization) Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. With the continuous desire to give, Kristie begin to donate to faith based institutions and other Nonprofits such as Goodwill. Having a heart to encourage, motivate, and support women, one day while purging what seemed to be her ever-growing shoe collection, Kristie had the idea to combine her passion for giving, service, and chic shoes… thus creating Kristiletto’s Closet. Kristiletto’s Closet is a nonprofit dedicated to assisting women in need by providing a chic pair of new or gently worn shoes in order to help restore self-esteem and self-confidence, one step at a time.
